Upon completion of this educational program, PhD students are expected to be able to:
1) systematize scientific theories and concepts of the latest directions in chemical engineering;
2) analyze modern scientific and technical information in leading scientific publications in the specialized field of chemical engineering using international databases;
3) put forward new hypotheses to solve current problems of the chosen direction of chemical engineering;
4) apply systemic and interdisciplinary knowledge to develop the scientific and technical base of a specialized area of chemical engineering;
5) plan teaching activities in the field of chemical engineering in higher education institutions, taking into account professional growth and development of competencies for effective teaching activities;
6) develop curricula using pedagogical approaches to quality education based on knowledge of strategic documents in the field of education, cultural values and learning theory;
7) plan and organize research work to solve modern problems of chemical engineering;
8) develop design documentation and regulatory documents to support the production and processing of materials;

- Description: The main purpose of "PhD thesis writing and defence": of a doctoral dissertation is the formation of the doctoral students' ability to disclose the content of research work for the defense of the thesis. During the study of course, doctoral student's should be competent in: 1. to substantiate the content of new scientifically grounded theoretical and experimental results that allow to solve a theoretical or applied problem or are a major achievement in the development of specific scientific directions; 2. explain the assessment of the completeness of the solutions to the tasks assigned, according to the specifics of the professional sphere of activity; 3. they can analyze alternative solutions for solving research and practical problems and assess the prospects for implementing these options; 4. apply the skills of writing scientific texts and presenting them in the form of scientific publications and presentations. 5. to plan and structure the scientific search, clearly highlight the research problem, develop a plan / program and methods for its study, formalize, in accordance with the requirements of the State Educational Establishment, the scientific and qualification work in the form of a thesis for a scientific degree Doctor of Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) on specialty «8D07502 – Standardization and certification (by industry)». The course is a scientific and methodological base, the development of which will allow doctoral students to conduct research at a high international level, encourages them to actively participate in scientific and innovative activities and commercialization of scientific results. As a result of acquisition the course, the doctoral student will be able to: - individually set and solve scientific tasks for performing high-level research in the field of chemical engineering; - analyze scientific publications and results, determine their scientific level, and identify opportunities for their taking into account and use in their own research; - develop and implement experimental methods that allow obtaining the most reliable scientific results in the field of engineering of chemical processes; - interpret and generalize data obtained by modern physical and physico-chemical methods; - identify, justify and interpret priority areas of development in the field of chemical engineering; plan research in these areas in the form of projects and applications for grant funding from various international and national funds; - interpret, summarize and present the results of their own research in the form of scientific articles for publication in highly rated international publications, reports at highly significant international conferences

- Description: The purpose of the discipline is to form the ability of doctoral students to justify their approaches and conclusions based on the results of scientific research, arguments and hypotheses as a style of academic writing. The training course forms the methodological basis for presenting research results in the open press, periodicals, international conferences and communication with scientists from other countries, as well as in the form of applications for participation in the competition. As a result of acquisition the course, the doctoral student will be able to: -write scientific articles for publication in international scientific journals indexed in the Scopus and Web of Science databases; -critically analyze scientific works, by indicating their advantages and disadvantages; -prepare a dissertation thesis, clearly presenting the purpose and objectives of the research, discussing the results and formulating conclusions based on the analysis of literature in a given section of chemical science; -present the content of scientific work: dissertation, monograph, review in a concise form, preserving its essence and structure; -write, present and defend scientific projects on actual problems of chemical engineering.

When studying the discipline, PhD students will: - get acquainted with the basics of working using several major software products used in the scientific and engineering environment in the processing and modeling of data; - simulate one of the processes of their doctoral dissertation.

During the study of the course the following abilities will be formed: - to systematize the theories and concepts of the latest trends in the chemical engineering; - to analyze the modern scientific and technical information in leading scientific publications in the specialized field of chemical engineering using international databases; - to develop the training courses for the introduction of modern scientific achievements in the field of chemistry and chemical engineering in the educational process; - to apply breakthrough theories of chemistry and chemical technology at writing scientific documentation (competition applications, reports, articles); - to design and carry out comprehensive research, including interdisciplinary researches, based on a holistic systemic scientific worldview. When studying the discipline, PhD students will study the following aspects: - hierarchy of common problems of modern chemical engineering; - computer chemistry and molecular design, 3D and fractal materials, “molecular machines”, femtochemistry, multisensor systems, “chemical immortality”, new generation energy sources, etc.; - principles of working with advanced scientific literature (journals of the Nature series, Chemical Reviews, Chemical Society Reviews, etc.); - features of writing review articles (on the example of own thesis).

- Description: The purpose of the discipline is to form a system of representations and give a theoretical justification to the features of the electrochemical behavior of active metals and related features of electrochemical technologies for their production and use. During the study of course, PhD students should be competent in: - analyze the peculiarities of the electrochemical behaviour of the active metals and the reasons behind it; - take into account the thermodynamic characteristics of active metals in the conversion of energy at the interface for use in technology; - analyze the behavior of active metals in the corrosion process in terms of thermodynamics of their ionic and electronic subsystems; - predict corrosion and electrochemical behavior based on the properties of the liquid phase components and the nature of the metal; - justify the choice of metals and electrolytes and create conditions for the implementation of electrochemical processes of metal separation and energy conversion. During the study of course, PhD students should be competent in: - evaluate the principles of design and operation of electrochemical energy converters; - use in practice different variants of designs and methods of production of electrodes and elements; - analyze the operation of the current source according to its characteristics and give recommendations for use; - design and regulate the composition of components when creating new energy systems; - justify decisions and give conclusions about the use of different energy systems for different purposes. - Description: The purpose of the discipline is to form the ability of system understanding and critical analysis of modern methods of creation of new pharmaceuticals by methods of chemical biotechnology. During the study of course, PhD students should be competent in: - analyze the relationship of the structural features of pharmacophore groups and methods of their directed introduction into the structure of different composition of BAS in chemical biotechnology; - develop and implement the process of directed structural modification of organic substances using modern methods of chemical biotechnology; - summarize and critically evaluate the results obtained for the relationship "BAS structure – biological activity" in the context of biopharmazie; - develop technological regulations for the production of Biopharmaceuticals in accordance with international standards; - optimize methods of standardization and quality control of Biopharmaceuticals in chemical biotechnology.
