Chair’s Calendar of Events
From 17 to 23 September professors R.Sakamoto and K. Matsuura representing the Japan Atomic Energy Agency the Department of General and Inorganic Chemistry has been visited. The purpose of the visit was the signing of a cooperation agreement between the two institutions and the discussion of the program training courses «Environmental Radioactivity», to be held at the Department of General and Inorganic Chemistry in January 2013. Also Professor R.Sakamoto gave a lecture on the radioecological situation in Japan, due to the recent accident at the "Fukushima-1" nuclear power plant.

Prof. of Chair of General and Inorganic chemistry Romanova S.M. has awarded by Ministry Grant “The best staff of High Education in RK-2011”. Ceremony of grants holds in University of Arts (Astana) on February 22, 2012. Certificates and breastplates were given by Vice-Minister of Ministry of Education and Science of the RK Orunkhanov M.K.

Advisor B.D. Balgysheva has organized meeting with students and Prof. Kuanysheva. Well-known scientist, Professor G.S. Kuanysheva has discussed based on her own experience – how to be an educated person in current time and answered to all questions from the student audience.

Staff of faculty of chemistry and chemical technology, Professors Romanova S.M., Aubakirov E.A., Tazhibaeva S.M. with great interest took part educational training in the Centre of Applied linguistics and international communication entitled "Publication of paper in the journal with high impact-factor: features of specific citation level in journal". They all got a certificate upon thecompletion of seminar.

Prof. Suleimenova O.Ja. organized evening meeting in #13 student dormitory devoted to great teacher B.A.Beremzhanov, conducted on 02 December 2011. She gave a lecture about life of prof. B.A. Beremzhanov. Students took actively part at this event.

At the period 09.01-10.01.2012 staff of chair prof. Romanova S.M., associate Prof. Riskalieva R.G., Kalabaeva M.H., Niazbayeva A.I. took part at the seminar entitled « individual-orientated education: approaches, technology, and techniques», trained by CSi Kasen G.A.
