About activities of the circles at the Department of General and Inorganic Chemistry

At the Department of General and Inorganic Chemistry, reopened two chemical circle, "Inorganic chemists" (supervisor Prof. Romanov SM) and the "Chemist – Ecologist t" (supervisor Prof. AK Baeshova).The work is carried out in accordance with our program.Thus, in the circle " Inorganic chemists " students Botagoz Baghlan, Sembekova Asel and Taygarina Albina expressed a desire to carry out chemical analysis of water from the River Big Almatika, drinking water in Almaty and Taraz. They were surprised that the drinking water, not just the familiar H₂O, but solution containing different ions.

Students are also doing experiments on the interesting inorganic chemistry. Master Student Kazybekova E. in January 2012 reported the results of her research, which done as a result the circle activities, the staff of "Noumenon" company and received a diploma "For the best report".

Head of the Research Student Circle "CHEMIST-Ecologist” in the department is Prof. AK Baeshova.

The purpose of the circle "Chemist Ecologist” is to involve students of the faculty of Chemistry and Chemical Technology to Kazakhstan environmental problems study.

Members of the group’s tasks include the following aspects:

As part of the study of environmental problems of Kazakhstan the following items will be considered:

1) The improvement of mandatory insurance system in companies with high environmental risk (calculated risk category of industrial enterprises of Kazakhstan);
2) The inhabitants of various regions impacts is determined to obtain information about the exhaustible natural resource stocks and their ecological footprint( Almaty, Karaganda, etc.).
3) Development of methods for determining pollutants in natural water samples and sediments of water objects in Almaty (monitoring of natural waters);
4) Soil Ecology of Kazakhstan;
5) Waste from production and consumption.Problems and their solution ways.
6) The methods of wastewater treatment.

ACHIEVEMENTS
The research conducted have resulted in a published article (Kondaurov Ruslan), also received a certificate for the invention to grant a patent innovation RK (Abilkas Aydin) and took the 1st place prize in a competition conducted by the Public Association "Kazakh Chemical Society named after AB Bekturov"(Abilkas Aydin).
