HISTORY OF THE HIGH SCHOOL OF ECONOMICS AND BUSINESS

High School of Economics and business is one of the oldest units of Al-Farabi Kazakh National University. The Faculty of Economics of the University was established in 1949. In 1951, the decision of the Academic Council of the Kazakh State University two previously independent, Faculty (economic and philosophical) were merged into a single philosophy-economic faculty.

Significant changes in the quantity and quality of the Faculty of Economics of the University has undergone for the Organization in 1963, on the basis of the Almaty Institute of national economy (now the Kazakh economic University named after T.Ryskulov).

In June 1997, the Department underwent reorganization. On the basis of two faculties of economic and legal-was organized the Institute of Economics and law (IEP).

In September 2001, by the decision of the Academic Council of Al-Farabi Kazakh National University, ISE was divided into two faculties: the Faculty of law and Faculty of Economics and business. Thus, the 2001-2002 school year, a State-of-the-art and design faculty.

In 2010, the decision of the Academic Council of Al-Farabi Kazakh National University, Faculty of Economics and business, was transformed into the higher school of Economics and business.

Graduates of the high school of Economics and business of Al-Farabi Kazakh National University in administration of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the Parliament of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Ministry of economic development and trade, Ministry of finance, the Agency of statistics of the Republic of Kazakhstan, National Bank of RK, commercial banks, insurance and audit companies, and other financial institutions, as well as to companies in all sectors of economy of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

Many prominent scientists and political figures are graduates of the High School of Economics and Business. They are the pride of all of Al-Farabi Kazakh National University is the academician of NAS RK, doctor of economic sciences, Professor Sagadiev K.A., Dr. S.C. (Econ.), Professor G.Karagusova, first Deputy Chairman of NDP "Nur Otan" Sagintayev B.A., Rector of the University "Turan", doctor of economic sciences, Professor Alshanov R.A., Akim of Pavlodar region, doctor of economic sciences, Professor E.M. Aryn, the Rector of the University of international business, Dr. S.C. (Econ.), Professor Abishev A.A. and others.
