History of university from 1988 to 1991

Especially in these years, the "Kazakhstan - 2030" Strategy was presented by the first President of the country Nursultan Nazarbayev, and the country erupted to the number of modern countries with enormous prestige in the global stage and the opportunities of the new socio-economic breakthrough in the future through the hardest phase of the structural break-up and the economic crisis.

The choice of new path was the most important milestone in the development of the University in this period. The main factor here was the development of the Republic of Kazakhstan as an equal member of international community, and in these circumstances, the only choice could be - the consistent advancement of the global educational system, the transition to international standards of specialists training. The status of the university began to change significantly. Since 1991 it began to be named after the great thinker Abu Nasir ibn al-Farabi.
