Legitimately we can say that especially the authority, organizational skills and the scientific insight of the outstanding scientist, Honored Worker of Science, holder of many state awards academician U.A. Dzholdasbekov provided the construction of the first KazSUGrad, both of which were carried out with other large-scale projects – A new academic building of Department of Chemistry was put into operation on the territory of agro-biological station of KazSU the construction of a building of the Department of Biophysics was completed, and in the Institute of Nuclear Physics of AS of the Kazakh SSR an academic building and a dormitory for students of physics was constructed. The living conditions of employees were improved: by the end of the 70-s six residential houses were built with 400 apartments in it and a Day Care Center. In general, a fundamentally new university infrastructure has been formed, and there are an appropriate words of great gratitude to ssay to the builders, general contractors create KazSUGrad "Glavalmatastroy" and its leaders O.M. Beisenov, U.K. Karamanov, E.K. Beisebayev, Y.K. Krasikov, V.R. Krasnyanskiy, A.D. Ermegiyayev. This infrastructure determined the broadest possible development of the university and created the foundation for a new leap for many years. Today, at a new level and with the full support of the President of the country, the resumed construction of the second KazSUgrad significantly expands the potential of scientific, educational and social services of the University, outputting it to the entry of the trajectory of the leading universities of the world.

KazSU started a multilateral international cooperation, began to prepare a personnel for countries of Asia, the Middle East, Cuba. In 1975 he was admitted to the International Association of Universities, bringing together over 700 universities from 114 countries.
