In the international Webometrics Ranking of World Universities, Al-Farabi Kazakh National University is ranked 1816 among more than 30 thousand universities from around the world. Also, Al-Farabi KazNU in this ranking took the second position among the universities of Kazakhstan, thereby entering the top three domestic university sites.

The Webometrics International Ranking is the largest university ranking that provides information on the effectiveness of universities in the Internet space. The Webometrics rating evaluates university websites according to such parameters as  visibility, openness, excellence, citation rate. 

The rating also evaluates the results of research activities of the best universities in the world using an indicator: the citation index of scientific articles.

The results of this rating confirm the activity of Al-Farabi KazNU in the global scientific space and in the international educational environment.
