From June 13 to 17, 2022 Professional Week-2022 for the development of teaching staff and employees was held at the Al-Farabi Kazakh National University. And today, on the final day of the program the session called "New Kazakhstan: ways to modernize education and science" was organized.

The meeting was attended by Chairman of the Management Board – Rector of Al-Farabi Kazakh National University Zhanseit Tuimebayev, Regional Director of QS Agency Sergey Hristolyubov, Member of the Board of Directors – Independent Director of JSC “Bank RBK” Musabek Alimbekov, Chairman of the Science Committee of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan Adlet Toibayev, faculty members and staff of KazNU.

The purpose of Professional Week is to identify priorities in the development of professional skills and competencies of teaching staff and scientists.

The Rector of the University addressed a welcoming speech, emphasizing the role of the framework in the conducting constructive dialogue between the participants. "During the Professional Week-2022 the speakers and participants of the discussions focused on the issues of modernization of approaches in the development of educational programs, development of scientific schools and implementation of research projects, digital transformation of education and global trends in education and science. We highly appreciate the contribution of our teaching staff to the development of the university's scientific and educational activities. All the ideas and proposals that were developed within the framework of the Week Professional Week-2022 will create new opportunities and a basis for further progress of education, science and innovation at the university," the head of the university explained.

During the session the Regional director of the QS Agency Sergey Khristolyubov spoke on the topic of "Improving the global competitiveness of Kazakhstani universities". In his speech the director shared the results of the global QS WUR 2022-2023 rating.

As part of the final stage of Professional Week-2022 Musabek Alimbekov, a member of the Board of Directors of JSC “Bank RBK” made a report on the topic "New Kazakhstan: amendments to the Constitution", as well as Adlet Toibayev, Chairman of the Science Committee of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan made a presentation on "Main directions for the development of Kazakh Science".

It is important to mention that within the framework of the Professional Week-2022 sessions representatives of the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the Center for the Bologna Process and Academic Mobility discussed such topics as "A promising model of university education: ways of formation", "Formation of a unified scientific ecosystem”. The speakers and participants analyzed the current problems and determined the vectors of the university's further development.
