In 2021, the Best in Profession competition celebrated its 10th anniversary - this is the first significant anniversary. This year it was dedicated to the 30th anniversary of Independence. Over the past ten years, the competition has changed significantly - the winners are now determined using Internet technologies, but its essence has remained unchanged - to select the best representatives of the UVP and celebrate their work.

The competition is intended to identify the best employees of KazNU from among the support staff, to give them social, moral support and motivation.

The second year of the best in the profession is determined using the Internet. The divisions were asked to film a video about their candidate with a story about his achievements. The trade union "Parasat" of workers of KazNU named after Al-Farabi posted videos on its Instagram page, where everyone could vote for the candidate they liked.

The competition "Best in Profession 2021" was attended by 27 employees - representatives of 16 faculties, the Institute of Information Technology and Innovative Development, departments: on academic issues, on educational work, information and communication, production support, the Center for Situational Response, the Publishing House " Kazakh University ”, Al-Farabi Library and Security Directorate.

The criteria for the winners remained the same: work experience at the university, impeccable performance of professional duties, participation in the social life of the university, active trade union activity. The winners were awarded with diplomas and prizes from the "Parasat" trade union - gift cards to the household appliances store.

The event was opened by the chairman of the trade union "Parasat" of workers of KazNU named after Al-Farabi TK Mekebaev, telling about the history of the competition, which is held for the tenth time. Winners' diplomas are signed by the Chairman of the Board - Rector of NJSC "KazNU named after Al-Farabi" Zh.K. Tuymebaev. Talgat Kumargalievich especially emphasized that the results of the competition are being summed up on the eve of the Independence Day of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

Sholpan Abisheva, whose work experience at the university is 17 years, noted that the competition motivates to work even better, to strive for new achievements. Altynai Sembekova, a representative of the Faculty of Journalism, stressed that such events give specialists an incentive to work. Elmira Abdisayeva thanked the leadership of the Situational Response Center for nominating her candidacy. “Such contests help us work for the good of the university,” she said.

All the winners were warmly congratulated by the Vice-Rector for Administrative and Economic Affairs O.B. Esenalin, telling the audience an instructive story about the contribution of each person to great deeds. The winners were also congratulated by the Rector's Advisor A.S. Estaev, head of the Rukhani Zhangyru center, writer Nurgali Oraz, director of the Production Support Department A.M. Zheldibaev.

The comments to the videos on Instagram were also very interesting and informative. The Audience Award could be safely awarded to FIT specialist Aigerim Bekkozhaeva, the video about which collected 964 comments and 1,079 views.

The event was decorated with concert numbers: L.Khamidi's song "Bulbul" performed by Anel Uruzbaeva, kyuy Daulet kerey "Kurouly" performed by the national ensemble "Farabi".

Well-coordinated work of the ART center under the leadership of Zh.U. Sartbay helped to organize the holiday at a high level. It is no coincidence that the head of the orchestra G.A.Kalieva was among the winners of the competition.
