Representatives of the Al-Farabi Kazakh National University made a trip to Antalya (Turkey), visiting Akteniz University, getting acquainted with the university campus and meeting with the leadership of the educational institution.

During the meeting, it was noted that friendly relations have been established between the Kazakh National University and Akteniz University, the two universities are interested in exchanging students, inviting teachers. In the future, a bilateral agreement will be signed for this purpose.

Akteniz University is the highest state educational institution in Turkey. It is included in the top 20 best universities in this country. Currently, 80,000 students study at the university, of which 2,500 are foreigners. According to the head of the department for work with students, Alina Aksoy, 1,025 Kazakhstani students are studying at Akteniz University.

In the future, it is planned to build up close ties between the medical faculty of the Turkish university and the faculty of medicine and health of the Al-Farabi Kazakh National University.

The structure of Akteniz University has its own clinic, on the basis of which classes are held, students undergo practical training with qualified specialists. This is a common and very successful experience - students receive education and improve their skills. The work of a private clinic as part of a foreign university is a normal phenomenon, an established tradition. In our country, this practice is just being introduced. From this point of view, the results of cooperation with Aktau University have great prospects for the successful implementation of joint projects.
