The Military Department of Al-Farabi KazNU has held an Online Conference with an Honored Veteran of the Armed Forces of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Major General Vladimir Petrovich Bondarenko. The Department’s trainees, commanders of educational platoons and teachers, attended the event.

The General Bondarenko V.P. was directly involved in the establishment and development of the Armed Forces of independent Kazakhstan. For a long time he had been a Deputy and Adviser to the Commander-in-Chief of the Air Defense Forces of the Republic of Kazakhstan, he became the mentor of a whole generation of educational officers.

In the course of the videoconference, the honored veteran spoke about the formation of the Kazakhstani army, the peculiarities of the educational work of the commanders and the successful organization of military training. During the online communication, students asked the guest questions. They were interested in the features of military service in the Air Defense Forces, the qualities that officers should have for this, as well as their life guidelines that allow them to succeed in this field. Vladimir Petrovich told the trainees about his military career, the importance of educational work in the army, the historical significance of the upcoming Day of the Defender of Fatherland and the Victory Day in the Great Patriotic War.

The video conference was successful, emotional and informative and it has become a real lesson of courage for the students of the Military Department.
