The Department of Kazakh Literature and Literature Theory of the Faculty of Philology and World Languages ​​of KazNU in the framework of the project «100 books» holds an online meeting with writers entitled «Writer’s Image». It will be dedicated to the 80th anniversary of the famous writer, honored worker of Kazakhstan, holder of the Order of «Parasat», laureate of the international literary prize «Alash», Adam Mekebayev.

The online event will be attended by the spouse of the writer Gulzhamilya Yeskobek; the famous writer Maral Yskakbay; Doctor of Philology, Professor Bauyrzhan Zhakyp; poet and editor-in-chief of the magazine «Zhuldyz» Galym Zhaylybay; famous writer and journalist Zhusipbek Korgasbek; writer, honored worker of Kazakhstan, laureate of the international literary prize «Alash» Akhat Zhaksybaev; poet, statesman and public figure Sansyzbay Kuttybaev; and literary scholar, Doctor of philological sciences, Professor Temirkhan Tebegenov. The online meeting will be attended also by teachers, students, undergraduates and doctoral students of Al-Farabi KazNU, scientists and researchers of the M.O. Auezov Institute of Literature and Art.

During the online conversation, new and interesting facts from the life and work of Adam Mekebaev, the significance of his literary and creative heritage, stories and novels, his contribution to the development of Kazakh literature and culture will be discussed.
