Branch Office of the Department of Foreign Philology and Translation Studeis of Al-Farabi Kazakh National University based on the previously concluded memorandum of cooperation was opened in the public foundation «Ulttıq Awdarma Byurosı» (National Translation Bureau).

The Public Fund «Ulttıq Awdarma Byurosı» is an organization that coordinates translation work and implements major translation projects within the framework of the state program «Rukhani Zhangiru» in key areas of «New Humanitarian Knowledge. 100 new textbooks in the Kazakh language», «Contemporary Kazakh literature in the global world». Currently, the Bureau employs about 300 specialists.

The Branch Office of the Department in the Translation Bureau was established with the aim of improving the quality of training of qualified specialists, undergraduates, strengthening the practical orientation of the educational process, and conducting joint scientific research.

Students will be able to receive the advice and recommendations of specialists from the National Translation Bureau to combine theory and practice, they will have the opportunity to participate in the translation process and gain professional experience.

Cooperation will give a new impetus to the professional development of specialists, to increase the practical orientation of the educational process, as well as the implementation of projects for conducting research and implementation of their results in production.

The staff of the Branch Office is formed from the staff of the Department of Foreign Philology and Translation Studeis and the «Ulttıq Awdarma Byurosı». Priority will be given to joint projects in the field of academic work, methodological and educational work.
