The international round table «Model of Competencies of University Graduate in Modern Conditions», organized by the Department of Management, was held at Al-Farabi KazNU as part of the 50th international scientific and methodological conference.

The event is of particular importance since it updates the issues of interaction with the academic structures of Almaty, partner HEIs from Russia and Belarus, employers and University graduates in developing the competency model of University graduate. The Dean of the Higher School of Economics and Business, Doctor of Economics, professor R.K. Sagieva and the Head of the «Management» Department, Doctor of Economics, Professor A.N. Turginbaeva highlighted it during their welcoming speeches. 

In his online report, economic observer, expert analyst from Belarus A. Avdonin noted that the competency-based approach is designed to eliminate the existing discord between business requests, corporations and the provision of University services.

Representatives of BelSU of Russia - professor, Head of the Department of Social Technologies and Public Service V.A.Sapryka, associate professor L.N. Shmigirilova - in their reports paid attention to the competencies of project and public administration, as the most demanded in the modern labor market.

To increase the focus of the educational process on practice, the Deputy Head of the Department of Strategy and Budget of the Almaty Akimat Zh.K. Zhazyltaeva came up with a proposal to link each specialized department of the Higher School of Economics and Business with the state structure of Almaty.

The round table was moderated by Professor of Chair of Management D.A.Kunanbaeva. Specific proposals of speakers on the competencies of University graduate in modern conditions are reflected in the final resolution of the meeting.
