The 5th International Conference of the Eurasian Initiative on Spatial Data Infrastructure «From E-government to G-government» was held at the basis of Al-Farabi KazNU.

The Conference was attended by representatives of South Korea, China, Russia, Belarus, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan, as well as representatives of relevant ministries, government bodies and organizations of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

At the Conference, experts talked about the development of spatial data infrastructures in Korea, China, Kyrgyzstan, Uzbekistan, shared their experience in developing a cadastre and real estate registration in Belarus.

Kazakhstani companies and universities demonstrated successfully implemented regional geoportals, talked about the experience of using unmanned aerial vehicles in the field of cartography and geodesy, and demonstrated high-quality 3D surveys.

At the end of the Conference, a resolution was adopted, which reflected current issues related to GIS, geodesy, digital cartography, the use of UAVs and mobile scanning systems, when creating digital counterparts in Kazakhstan, the development of modern standards and requirements in the field of digital cartography, the exchange of experience with international GIS- experts and many others.

By decision of the event participants, the next 6th international conference on the creation of the Eurasian spatial data infrastructure will be held in the Republic of Belarus.
