The photo exhibition is dedicated to the creative heritage of one of the founders of Kazakhstan photojournalism - Sailau Pernebaev. The exposition presents the best works and art of the author. The event was attended by family members, Dean of the Faculty of Journalism Sagatbek Medeubekuly, students and teachers.

Speaking to the audience, the daughter of the photographer Ainur Saylauovna spoke about the life and creative activities of his father. «Father began his career in 1965. Working from the age of 14 at the mine, he met with correspondents from Leningrad, who prompted him the direction for the further development of creative abilities. Over the years, he took many interesting pictures, participated in various exhibitions. He was the first in the history of the country to receive the right to film the inauguration of the Head of State».

Asylkhan Abdraimuly, Chairman of the Public Association «PhotoOner», presented to the public the first print version of the photograph «Ak pen Kara», dedicated to the 80th anniversary of the photographer. The photo collection consists of the best works from the artist’s photo fund.

Sailau Pernebaev was repeatedly awarded the prize of the Union of Journalists and the Republican Committee. He devoted more than 40 years of his life to the formation of photojournalism in Kazakhstan.
