Student of Al-Farabi Kazakh National University Abiba Abuzhakynova has become the bronze medalist of the 2022 World Judo Championship.

The award ceremony of the POSCO-2022 Foundation scholarship was held at the Al-Farabi Kazakh National University.

Within the framework of the Kazakh-Qatari Investment Forum in Astana, a Memorandum between KazNU and Qatar University was signed.

Doctor of Biological Sciences, Professor of the Oregon National Primate Research Center, Professor of the US Stem Cell Center Shukhrat Mitalipov delivered a leadership lecture on "New technologies in modern Embryology and Genetics" at the Al-Farabi Kazakh National University. The event, organized by the Faculty of Biology and Biotechnology of KazNU brought together representatives from various research institutes and research centers of the Republic of Kazakhstan. 

Students of Al-Farabi Kazakh National University supported the republican EcoStudentKZ challenge. As part of the environmental campaign on October 8, about 200 young people took part in the work of cleaning up popular tourist places from garbage, in particular, the Kok Zhailau plateau and the Butakovsky Gorge.

According to the results of the international university ranking "IAAR Eurasian University Ranking (EUR)" 2022 conducted by the Independent Agency for Accreditation and Rating (IAAR), Al-Farabi Kazakh National University was recognized as the first and best university among universities in Kazakhstan, Russia, Kyrgyzstan, Belarus, Ukraine, Azerbaijan and Moldova.

Chairman of the Board – Rector of Al–Farabi Kazakh National University Zhanseit Tuimebayev took part in the extraordinary XXIV Congress of the AMANAT in Astana. During the meeting, a new political platform of the party was approved.

The leadership of Al-Farabi Kazakh National University took part in the University Rectors’ Conference of with the participation of universities of Central Asia representatives and members of the Bologna Process Control Group (BFUG) in Astana. Issues of further development of regional cooperation in the field of education in Central Asia were discussed at the event.

Deputy of the Senate of the Parliament of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Academician Bakytzhan Zhumagulov met with the teaching staff, doctoral students and undergraduates at the Al-Farabi Kazakh National University. The Guest of honor was introduced by the Chairman of the Board – Rector of Al-Farabi Kazakh National University Zhanseit Tuimebayev, focusing on the main stages of his life and professional path.
