Today flower-laying ceremony at the monument of the statesman and public figure, academician Umirbek Aryslanovich Zholdasbekov took place at the Al-Farabi Kazakh National University.

Professor, Head of the Department of Biophysics, Biomedicine and Neuroscience Kustubayeva Almira Melsovna managed to create a Center for Cognitive Neuroscience at Al-Farabi Kazakh National University. Today the development of neuroscience opens up new horizons of cognition of the capabilities of the brain and human consciousness.

A memorial plaque was unveiled in Almaty in honor of the outstanding scientist, Honored Worker of Kazakhstan, Academician of the National Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Kazakhstan, veteran of the Great Patriotic War, Doctor of Philology, Professor Abduali Kaidar.

Chairman of the Management Board – Rector of Al–Farabi Kazakh National University Zhanseit Tuimebayev met with Director General of Kazakhstan Nuclear Power Plants LLP Timur Zhantikin and Head of the Institute of Nuclear Physics of the Ministry of Energy of the Republic of Kazakhstan Sayabek Sakhiyev.

The award ceremony of the best university instructors was held in Astana. 27 members of the academic staff of Al-Farabi Kazakh National University were also recognized as the best in the republican competition out of 775 applicants. Each winner was awarded 6 million KZT. The certificates were presented by the Minister of Science and Higher Education of the Republic of Kazakhstan Sayasat Nurbek.

The leadership lecture of the Honored Teacher of Kazakhstan, Chairman of the Board of "Nazarbayev Intellectual Schools" Kulyash Shamshidinova was held at the Al-Farabi Kazakh National University.

A press tour for media representatives was held at the Al-Farabi Kazakh National University, during which the achievements of the Scientific and Technological Park and research laboratories of KazNU were presented.

A meeting with the President of the JCHX Mining Construction Group Co, Wang Xinyu took place at the al-Farabi Business School. The main purpose of the meeting was to discuss the prospects of the future cooperation.

Chairman of the Board – Rector of Al-Farabi Kazakh National University Zhanseit Tuimebayev received a delegation headed by Dr. Ku Hok Bun, the Programme Leader of DSW and Sociology Panel Chair in the Department of Applied Social Sciences at The Hong Kong Polytechnic University.
