A memorial plaque was unveiled in Almaty in honor of the outstanding scientist, Honored Worker of Kazakhstan, Academician of the National Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Kazakhstan, veteran of the Great Patriotic War, Doctor of Philology, Professor Abduali Kaidar.

The memorial sign is installed on the wall of the house No. 128 on Shokan Ualikhanov Street, where the scientist lived for about fifty years.

The opening ceremony was attended by Deputy Akim of Almaty Arman Kyrykbayev, Chairman of the Board – Rector of Al-Farabi Kazakh National University Zhanseit Tuimebayev, representatives of the intelligentsia, state and public figures, famous scientists, relatives and students of Abduali Tuganbaevich.

Deputy Akim of Almaty Arman Kyrykbayev opened the event with a welcoming speech.

"Abduali Kaidar is a man who has made a contribution to the development of Turkology. He devoted his whole life to Kazakh education and science. He deeply studied the language and literature of the Turkic-speaking peoples, wrote several monographs, textbooks and textbooks. We will never forget an outstanding scientist, such people will be born once in a century."

In turn, the head of KazNU Zhanseit Tuimebayev told about the work of Abduali Tuganbaevich.

"The statesman and scientist Abduali Tuganbaevich is a graduate of our university. He is our respected academician, mentor of many scientists working in the field of linguistics and literary studies. He lectured at KazNU, made a significant contribution to the development of the Department of Turkology and Language Theory. He has educated more than one generation of linguists, supervised many future candidates and doctors of sciences. Participated in the development of a new draft of the "Law on Languages" adopted in the early years of our independence. He was one of the founders of the International Society "Kazakh Tili". I hope that the scientist's work will be properly continued by his students," Zhanseit Kanseitovich announced.
