Al-Farabi KazNU and the Indian company Refex Group signed a memorandum of cooperation in the field of development of renewable energy sources (RES).

The participants of the international scientific and practical conference «Achievments and Challenges of the Anti-Nuclear Movement to Overcome the Threats of an Atomic Catastrophe», which was held in Nur-Sultan, analyzed the activities of the anti-nuclear movement in Kazakhstan and the world over a thirty-year period.

At the panel section «Development of Higher Education, Culture and Technology along the Silk Road», which took place as part of the Global University Summit, there were discussed a number of relevant topics. Professor Yulia Ebzeeva (Russian Federation) acted as a moderator.

A Panel Section devoted to issues of sustainable development, climate change management and best practices in this area was held in the framework of the Global Summit at Al-Farabi KazNU.

In the framework of the international conference QS World Wide - 2019, a working meeting of the Ban Ki-moon Institute for Sustainable Development at Al-Farabi KazNU with the Institute for Global Engagement and Empowerment at Yonsei University (IGEE) was held.

A meeting of the General Assembly of the University Alliance of the Silk Road (SUN) and a Parallel Session on the «Role of Universities for Transforming Silk Roads into Peace Roads with Prominent Human Heritages» was held at Al-Farabi Library. Over a hundred delegates from 50 universities from 19 countries took part in its work.
