Al-Farabi KazNU and the Department of Science and Technology for Social Development of the Ministry of Science and Technology of China have outlined plans for cooperation in Medicine, Biology and Chemistry. At a bilateral meeting of the Rector of KazNU Galym Mutanov and the Deputy General Director of the Department of Science and Technology for Social Development of the Ministry of Science and Technology of the PRC Tien Baoguo, concrete steps were announced for the implementation of a future joint project.

Team startup company FLYUP Group Department of Mechanics, Mechanics and Mathematics Department, KazNU Al-Farabi took second place in the competition of business ideas among students. 

Ambassador on Special Assignments of the Republic of Kazakhstan Kairat Lama Sharif visited Al-Farabi KazNU in order to discuss joint efforts of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the University to implement an action plan to celebrate the 1150th anniversary of Al-Farabi.

Al-Farabi KazNU organized jointly with the Ban Ki-moon Institute for Sustainable Development an international New Silk Road mini-conference on the UN Model in Almaty.

In order to raise the level of English academic writing to further increase publication activity of the faculty and students in high-impact journals, the Department of science and innovation organized and held a workshop together with representatives of Enago.

Head of the Department for East Asian Studies, associate professor Natalya Yem announced al-Farabi Kazakh National University at the Research Center for Korean Community’s (RCKC) at Queens College, City University of New York (CUNY)

During the visit to the leading University of the country, the Head of State got acquainted with the achievements of Al-Farabi KazNU on the introduction of Digital Technologies, the Cluster of Business Competencies Development, the work of the Center for Situation Management and «Keremet» SCC.

The presentation of the book of the serial publication «Onegeli Omir» about outstanding Kazakh scientists of Al-Farabi KazNU, dedicated to Akmaral Khaidarovna Arystanbekova, doctor of historical sciences, professor, former Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the first Permanent Representative of the Republic of Kazakhstan to the United Nations, Honored Worker of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Ambassador on Special Assignments of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan, was held at Al-Farabi Kazakh National University.
