On December 14, 2023, at the Faculty of International Relations of Al-Farabi Kazakh National University, a meeting was held with Askar Nursha, Deputy Director of the Kazakhstan Institute for Strategic Studies under the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan (KazISS) and Aben Dauren, Head of the International Security Department of the KISS Representative Office under the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan in Almaty .

During the meeting, issues of cooperation between the Faculty of International Relations and KazISS were discussed. Cooperation will develop in such areas as joint scientific and expert activities, research practice and internships for young scientists.

Moreover, an initiative will be launched to promote an expert platform on current issues of modern international relations, including those related to the USA, EU, Turkey and the South Caucasus, Southeast Asia, as well as Central Asia. The expert platform will be launched as part of the activities of the Center for Regional Studies of the Faculty of International Relations.
