Acting Professor of the Department of Mechanics, project PI, leading researcher Yerzhan Belyayev, project AP14872287 on the topic “Study of Cascade Solar Thermal Energy Storage Efficiency Using Phase Change Materials in Continental Climate”, from October 1 to October 8, 2023, participated in the annual international conference on Themophysics 2023 (http://thermophysics.fch.vut.cz/2023/index.php) in Dalesice, Czech Republic.

As well as from October 9 to October 12, 2023 year visited the Technical University of Berlin to discuss the work on the project and opportunities for further cooperation. At the conference in the Czech Republic on Thermophysics Yerzhan Belyayev participated with two project employees: Leading Researcher Amankeldy Toleukhanov and Researcher Yelnar Yerdesh.

Together they presented the research results obtained as part of the Project and made presentations on the topic:

1. “Numerical simulation of cascade latent heat thermal energy storage device thermal performance using multiple PCMs”.

2. “Energy and exergy performance study of ground source heat pump in continental climate conditions”.

Based on these reports, two extended articles have been prepared that will be published in the AIP Conference Proceedings Series.
