At the Faculty of Biology and Biotechnology of Al-Farabi Kazakh National University a seminar on "Application of MRI-biomarkers in the diagnosis of brain tumors" and "Possibilities of electroencephalography (EEG) in neurosurgery" was successfully held. As part of this event, organized especially for students, representatives of the National Center for Neurosurgery acted as guest speakers.

Batyrkhanov Daultay Azamatovich Batyrkhanov, radiologist of JSC "NCN", shared his experience and knowledge about the use of MRI-biomarkers in the diagnosis of brain tumors. He told about modern methods and technologies that help to accurately determine the presence and nature of tumors.

Uteuova Saule Abylaevna, head of the neurophysiology laboratory and doctor of functional diagnostics, neurophysiologist, told about the possibilities of electroencephalography (EEG) in neurosurgery. She explained how EEG can be used to study brain activity, detect pathologies and make decisions on the necessity of neurosurgical intervention.

Akshulakova Gulshat Kydyrsyikovna, a doctor of functional diagnostics of the Neurophysiologic Laboratory, supplemented the presentation with her knowledge about the possibilities of electroencephalography in neurosurgery. She shared practical examples and talked about what data can be obtained with EEG and how they help doctors to make important decisions.

During the seminar, students had a unique opportunity to immerse themselves in the world of neurosurgery and learn about the latest developments in this field from leading experts. The speakers' lectures and presentations were informative and inspiring, exposing students to the broad perspectives in medical science and practice.

After the successful completion of the workshop, students had the opportunity to continue networking and ask questions of the speakers in an informal setting at a buffet. This time allowed young scientists and future professionals to deepen their understanding and develop an interest in neurosurgery, as well as make valuable connections with experienced professionals.
The seminar at KAZNU, with experts from the National Center for Neurosurgery, was a wonderful event that inspired students to explore and immerse themselves in the world of medicine. It also emphasizes the importance of sharing knowledge and experience between academic and clinical fields to prepare future leaders in the Neuroscience field.
