A round table dedicated to the 50th anniversary of the founding of the Department of Biophysics, Biomedicine and Neuroscience at Al-Farabi Kazakh National University was held. During the event, the Laboratory of Biophysics named after the founding scientist of the Department, Professor Viktor Mikhailovich Inyushin, was inaugurated.
The event was attended by renowned scientists, faculty and students of the university.Speaking at the event, Zhamila Aitzhanova, member of the Board - Vice-Rector for Scientific and Innovative Activities, noted: 
"Victor Mikhailovich Inyushin is a personality who made a great contribution to the formation of biophysical science in the country. The professor was the first in the world to theoretically justify and introduce the use of lasers in medical practice".

November 21, 2023 in the Kazakh National University named after Al-Farabi celebrated the 50th anniversary of the Department of Biophysics Biomedicine and Neuroscience. This significant event was marked by a number of events dedicated to the history and achievements of the department and a round table was organized.

The Department of Biophysics of Biomedicine and Neuroscience was founded in 1973 and since then it has become one of the leading scientific and educational centers in the field of biophysic and neuroscience research in Kazakhstan. For half a century of its existence the department has made a significant contribution to the development of science and training of qualified specialists.

The management of the university expressed gratitude to teachers, staff and students of the department for many years of labor and contribution to the development of science in Kazakhstan. In turn, the staff of the department expressed its willingness to continue its research and educational activities for the benefit of the health of the nation.
