The inter-faculty competition was held at the Al-Farabi Kazakh National University, in the Faculty of Philology and World Languages ​​at the center of "Russian language and culture" in october 29th, 2015.
The guests of the competition were: Eleanora Dyusenovna Suleimenova - academician of the International Academy of Higher Education, the President of Kazakhstan Association of Teachers of Russian Language and Literature; Madieva Gulmira Bayanzhanovna - Head of the Department of General Linguistics and European languages, doctor of philological sciences, professor; Zhanar Ibraeva Kulmatovna - Ph.D., assistant professor of department general linguistics and European language in Al-Farabi Kazakh National University; Tausogarova Ayauzhan Kayratkyzy - candidate of philological sciences, docent of Department of general linguistics and European languages in Al-Farabi Kazakh National University.

The competition was attended by students of faculties of journalism, philosophy and political science and Philology and world languages.

To the center were sent about 30 essays. In their essays, students wrote about the crucial role of the Russian language in their lives. About how they began to learn the Russian language, and why, as well as the prospect of what they have, owning Russian, because Russian language is one of the international languages. They resembled in their essays that they are very fond of this wonderful and beautiful language. All students are very talented and it was difficult to choose the winners. The first place was awarded to a student of the 1st course of the Faculty of Journalism Bolatova Mahabbatsұlu. Second place went to a student of the 4th year of the Faculty of Philology and world languages ​​Қozhan Arailym. And the third place was taken by a student of the 1st course of the Faculty of Journalism Orazbai Әygerіm.
