The Faculty of Philology and World Languages of al-Farabi Kazakh National University (Almaty, Kazakhstan) in cooperation with the Applied Linguistics Association of Kazkahstan (Almaty, Kazakhstan), Taraz University of Innovation and Humanities (Taraz, Kazakhstan), Kings College London (London, England), Aitmatov Academy (London, England), Vienna University of Economics and Business (Vienna, Austria), Istanbul University and Al-Farabi Center for Eurasian Research of Istanbul University (Istanbul,Turkey) are pleased to host the 21st Annual International Conference Akhanov’s Readings which will take place on April 5-6, 2018 at al-Farabi Kazakh National University in Almaty in the framework of the 5th International Conference «Farabi World».

The conference Language, Intercultural Communication and National Identity: a view to the future aims to bring together researchers and teachers from all over the world who are interested in such problems in the field of both general linguistics and its applied areas.

The conference program includes various topics related to all areas of linguistics and education, covering globalization and integration in social life, the reflection of these processes in the language and intercultural communication, traditions and innovations, the issues of global and national identity, the universality of language and culture, the particular culture, a foreign language teaching, aspects of applied linguistics.
