National Kurultai – as a border between society and the state

This year, (15-16 of March) on the eve of the national holiday Nauryz, the National Kurultai is being held for the third time. Important steps are being taken in the Kurultai to modernize public values. Renewal and rebirth open the way to the best. Therefore, it has become a good tradition to gather at a collegial meeting of the founding members once a year.

The first meeting of the National Kurultai was held in Ulytau, and last year - in the sacred city of Turkestan. This year, another historical region is being held – Atyrau, where the ancient city of Saraishyk is located.

The following issues are identified as the goals of the Kurultai: developing and making proposals to strengthen public unity, promote and strengthen national values, and ensure a constructive dialogue between representatives of the public, political parties, the non-governmental sector and government agencies.

"The National Kurultai has become an effective dialogue platform between society and the state," - says state Councilor Yerlan Karin on his Telegram. Most of the proposals made in the sections are aimed at further strengthening the unity of society, popularizing national values, and increasing the scientific potential of the country.

In total, about 70 members of the National Kurultai took part in the work of the four sections, and more than 100 proposals and initiatives were put forward. Most of the proposals made at the sections were made with regard to further strengthening the unity of society, popularizing national values, raising the scientific potential of the country, supporting the cultural sphere, developing the local government system, regulating migration issues and other topical issues in society. Such active activity of the members of the National Founder indicates that this civic institution has become an effective dialogue platform between society and the state.
