Al-Farabi Kazakh National University announces the Republican Subject Olympiad in Psychology (interuniversity stage), which will be held on March 25-26, 2020 at the address: 050012, Almaty, st. Masanchi 39/47 in the building of the Faculty of Philosophy and Political Science of KazNU al-Farabi (registration 25.03 at 9.00, beginning at 10.00, act. hall).

Students of 2-4 courses of Kazakhstani universities who are studying in the specialty 5B050300-Psychology are the winners of the intra-university (first) stage of the subject Olympiad in psychology. Language of participation: Kazakh, Russian. From one university, no more than 3 people can take part, participants in past olympiads are not allowed to participate.

Participants of the inter-university stage should have the following documents with them: a letter signed by the rector (vice-rector) on the results of the intra-university stage of the Olympiad or a decision of the Academic Council of the university, which is drawn up in a protocol (submitted by the participant upon arrival to participate in the Olympiad).

Travel and accommodation of non-resident participants of the Olympiad will be at their own expense.

Attention! The Olympiad will be held in individual and team format. But only individual indicators will be evaluated! Nominations are provided for teams.

The interuniversity (second) stage of the Olympiad will consist of three rounds:

1st round. Subject testing in basic disciplines (written assignment). Individual performance. Testing the theoretical knowledge of the participants of the Olympiad.

2 round. Defense of a scientific project (homework contest). One project from each team is presented. The topics and requirements are set out in the Appendix

3 round. Psychological quiz “What? Where? When?" in the format of sports ChGK. Team execution. Logical questions about psychology and psychologists. Assessment of general erudition, knowledge of the main dates, names, events in the field of psychology.

Following the results of three rounds, the individual work of each participant in the Olympiad will be evaluated. Nominations are provided for teams.

The winners of the Republican Olympiad, who took 1st, 2nd, 3rd places, are awarded with diplomas of the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Kazakhstan of I, II, III degrees. Within the framework of the subject Olympiad, master classes and excursions will be held for participants.

The program of the event will be presented on March 20, 2020.

(HOME COMPETITION)

Theme of the homework contest: “Al-Farabi's Ideas in Psychological Research”

2020 was declared by UNESCO with the support of the Government of the Republic of Kazakhstan as the year of celebrating the 1150th anniversary of the great thinker of the East - Abu Nasr ibn Mohammed al-Farabi.

Students can be presented at the competition with the psychological analysis of the scientific heritage of al-Farabi, as well as the development of the ideas of the great scientist of the East in relevant applied psychological research.

The work can be done individually or by a group of students, in compliance with all requirements for scientific research (title page, contents, introduction, main part, conclusion, list of used literature).

All works are checked for plagiarism (the uniqueness of the work is at least 75%), if plagiarism is discovered, the work is removed from the competition. The volume of work is 20-40 pages.

Design Requirements:

- page parameters: top margin - 2 cm, bottom margin - 2 cm, left margin - 3 cm, right margin 1.5 cm;

- font Times New Roman, KZ Times New Roman; font size - 12pt;

- line spacing - single; indention - 1 cm; portrait orientation.
