«Language is the soul of the nation»

Within the framework of the project "Spiritual Revival" on October 14, an event "Language is the soul of the nation" was organized under the guidance of teachers Sultanova Akmaral Mukhtarovna and Kaldybek Simbat Tolegenovna and with the participation of 4th year students of the specialty sociology. During the evening, students read excerpts from poems in Kazakh, Russian, English, Italian, Japanese, Hebrew and other languages. Special attention was also paid to the importance of the policy of the First President - Elbasy Nursultan Nazarbayev "Triple language". Regardless of nationality, the language is the property of the country. A comprehensive review of the power of language and its role in society was made.

On October 21, Aliya Omirbekova, Deputy Dean for Academic Affairs and Educational Work of the Faculty of Philosophy and Political Science, and teachers of the Department of Sociology and Social Work Myrzabaev Sabit, Orymbetov Ablay, Bolat Zhansaya organized a meeting with students of the No. 9 dormitory. During the evening, the importance of patriotic education, the formation and development of a sense of responsibility in a person was explained.

On November 30, under the guidance of senior lecturer of the Department of Sociology and Social Work Amitov Sultankazy Abdukadyrovich and teacher Orymbetov Ablay Yerzhanovich, 3rd year students of social work organized an event dedicated to the 30th anniversary of Independence of the Republic of Kazakhstan. During the event, the patriotic feelings of the students were awakened and a tribute was paid to the spirit of the ancestors who fought for independence.

«New Generation Energy»

On November 30, the Al-Farabi Kazakh National University hosted a forum "New Generation Energy" to support young entrepreneurs. The purpose of the forum: supporting innovative ideas of youth; paving the way for social initiatives; supporting youth research projects and programs. The citizens who took an active part in the forum were awarded with special certificates. Students of the Faculty of Philosophy and Political Science majoring in Sociology and Social Work took an active part in the forum and received special certificates.

The arrangement was managed by the head of sociology and social work department G.S. Abdirayimova and teacher A.М. Sultanova.

On March 4, 2015 from 16:10 to 17:30 Department of Sociology and Social Work of Faculty of Philosophy and Political Science in the framework of the university project "100 books" held intellectual and cognitive game "The best reader" based on the novel of Ilias Esenberlin "Adamantine sword" of the trilogy "Nomads". Students of 2 and 3 degrees of "Sociology" and "Social Work" specialities attended. According to the results of the competition the team "Aktogan" won.
The aim of the competition is to awaken students’ patriotic, spiritual and moral feelings, learn to work in a team, engage in public work for celebration "The 550th anniversary of the Kazakh Khanate". The competition was held in the form of intellectual and cognitive game, the winners were presented with gifts.
It was organized by the Head of the Department of Sociology and Social Work, Professor Abdirayymova G.S., Professor Shedenova N.U., master student Baygereeva A.S.

Состоялся круглый стол, посвященный победе в Великой Отечесственной Войне, в рамках
проекта «100 кітап». Во время круглого стола обсуждался роман Б.Момышулы «За нами
Москва» и фильм «Пианист» режиссера Романа Полански. Мероприятие прошло в общежитий
№9, организаторами которого выступили преподаватели кафедры «социологии и социальной
работы» Жаназарова З.Ж., Нурбекова Ж.А., магистранты 1 курса Жадрин Б.Б., Аманкулова А.
В обсуждений приняли участие студенты 1, 2 и 3 курса, специальноси «Социология» и
«социальная работа».

12 November 2014 at 13.25 in the auditorium 315 PFP was held a round table discussion on "Consumer behavior of the population of Kazakhstan in a crisis." The round table was attended by sociology students of 3 course and magister’s of 2 course. The organizers was professor Sadyrova M.S. and sociology 2 course magister Kusainova A.N.
The participants made presentation on a variety of topics. Covered such actual issues as the problem of the lack of scholarship, high food prices, the demonstrative behavior of today's youth, the impact of the crisis on young people, the effects of devaluation. The round table was interesting, not leave anyone indifferent!
