On Saturday, in the Sports Complex of Al-Farabi Kazakh National University, a sports event "Faster, Stronger and Higher!", Dedicated to the 85th anniversary of the Department of Mechanics, took place.This sporting event was organized by the deputy head of the Department of Mechanics of the Mechanics and Mathematics Department D.E. Turalina.

The sports event was attended by students of dormitory No. 6, students of the Department of Mechanics of the Mechanics and Mathematics Faculty (about 200 students in total), undergraduates, doctoral students, curators, advisors A. Ismailova, B. Sagitzhanov, Zh. Lyazzat, associate professor A. K. Tulepbergenov, associate professor Dzhamalov N.K., as well as the head of the Department of Mechanics, Professor Rakisheva Z.B.

Competitions were held in six sports (mini-football, volleyball, tennis, togizkumalak, chess, tug of war). Futsal competitions took part 3 teams, volleyball - 8 teams, tug of war - 4 teams, tennis - 23 students, chess - 8 students, tozizkumalak -10 students.

The sporting event was held with the support of the head of the department of general physical education E.K.Dilmakhambetov, as well as undergraduates - trainees of the Department of Mechanics.

At the end of the competition, the head of the Department of Mechanics Z. B. Rakisheva thanked students, graduate students and teachers of the department for their activity and for supporting a healthy lifestyle.

Winners received special prizes and certificates.
