We usually have outdoor lessons, which conducted on the basis of scientific institutions or production companies. For example, on January 22, 2019, undergraduates of the 1st course of the Kharkov National Technical University held seminar on the subject “Methods of separation and concentration in the analysis of mineral raw materials” in the K.I. Satpayev Geological Museum of the Institute of Geological Sciences. This largest museum of Kazakhstan has a research profile and has about 50,000 exhibits. Undergraduates met with minerals of all geological and economic regions of our country. Professional interest was aroused by the collection of the mineralogy department, represented by various mineral species and varieties.

Also in the museum are collected unique in size, shape and color of minerals, some of which were first found on the territory of Kazakhstan. The study of collections of rocks, ores and minerals gives a vivid idea of ​​the large mineral deposits of Kazakhstan and will help in the future to solve the problems of expanding the raw material base of the country's industry.
