On October 15, 2019, the Department of Biotechnology of the Faculty of Biology and Biotechnology organized a tour to the technopark KazNU im al-Farabi.

The purpose of the visit: familiarization with innovative developments and technologies of scientists and students of the university.

On the excursion students got acquainted with experimental sites of production and transformation of alternative types of energy (wind, solar, geothermal, biogas, hydrogen and hydro). Energy-efficient greenhouses for the cultivation of non-viral berry and vegetable crops, decorative, therapeutic and cereal plants using modern agricultural techniques installed in the center of "green technologies" were also demonstrated. Children visited apple garden.
