Round table dedicated to the Hungarian ethnographer Almasi Gyorgy

Al-Farabi Kazakh National University hosted a round table dedicated to the outstanding Hungarian orientalist, traveler, zoologist and ethnographer Almasi Gyorgi.
 The event, organized by the Faculty of Philology, was held in the scientific library of Al-Farabi. The guests of honor were given an excursion, showing the halls of the First President and Abai, the Fund of Rare Books and Manuscripts, "Seven Facets of the Great Steppe", "Alash Leaders", etc.
The delegation, which included Hungarian consul in Almaty Peter Siklós, ethnologist Shanta Istvan, ethnologist Shomfai Kara David, also showed great interest in the exhibition of innovative projects of KazNU scientists and the construction plan for the second phase of the university campus.
The event was also attended by: doctor of philological sciences, professor Raushan Amirdinova, academician of the National Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Kazakhstan, professor of KazNU named after. Al-Farabi, Head of the Department of History of Kazakhstan Bereket Karibaev, Associate Professor of the Department of Archeology, Ethnology, Museology Gulzhan Meirmanova, Associate Professor of the Islamic University Nur Mubarak, Candidate of Historical Sciences Katran Dosymbek, Associate Professor of the Department of Religious and Cultural Studies Aliya Omirbekova, Director of the Department of International Cooperation Yerkezhan Apsemetova, Dean of the Faculty oriental studies Natalya Em and others.
Within the framework of the round table, a short documentary film Shomfai Kara David was shown, participants spoke, as well as a discussion of the development of mutually beneficial cooperation. The event ended with a memorable photo shoot.
