KazNU will host International Seminar and Workshop on Biosphere Reserves in condition of Climate Change and Loss of Biodiversity on September 24-26, 2018.

The organizers of the event are Al-Farabi Kazakh National University – UNAI Global Hub on Sustainability, Islamic Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization – ISESCO, National Committee for ISESCO and UNESCO, Kazakhstan National MAB Committee.

This Workshop aims to enhance biosphere reserves management in ISESCO’s Member States in order to address climate change impacts. The objective is also to share information on national achievements related to biosphere reserves and biodiversity preservation by exchanging practices and experiences. This will allow participants to identify common challenges in the region and to discuss methods to overcome those challenges in line with Sustainable Development Goals.

Experts and representatives of the National Committees for ISESCO from Morocco, Turkey, Indonesia, Egypt, Pakistan, China and CIS will participate in the Seminar.
