International Cooperation Department is glad to announce about the Call for POSCO Asia Fellowship. 

POSCO Asia Fellowship is for very talented students with high creative potential to grow as a leader in the field of their study interest.

WHO CAN PARTICIPATE

Any undergraduate student in the 2^nd ,3^rd ,4^th year of their studies, except students of arts and physical education

Students, enrolled the University on Government grants are not allowed to participate in the Call

English language is skill is a must.

THE COMPETITION TAKES PLACE IN THREE STAGES:

1.    DOCUMENT SCREENING

Students should send CV (in the attached format) and transcripts to the Deputy Deans; Maximum of 5-10 students from each faculty will be selected by the Faculty and the International Cooperation Department and documents submitted to Posco Daewoo Corporation Almaty Branch. (Deadline: September 12) 

1.  ESSAY AND INTERVIEW

(will take place in the premises of KazNU)

Essay writing in English among 50 applicants to check writing skills and analytical thinking. The topic of essay will be given at the date of essay, students will have 30 minutes for writing. (October 1)

Interview of 20 selected students in English to check speaking skills. (October 5)

1.  FINAL DECISION FOR GRANT AWARD

15 students will be selected for POSCO Asia Fellowship. Students will be supported until their graduation. (800 USD/year)

Moreover, students who receive scholarship from POSCO have great opportunities to have 3-month paid internship and privilege to work in POSCO Daewoo Almaty Branch.
