April 20, 2018 at 10:00 in the 2nd meeting room of the al-Farabi library the Kazakh National University named after al-Farabi, faculty of philosophy and political science, Department of philosophy and the Center al-Farabi are holding an international scientific-practical conference "al-Farabi Kazakh and world philosophy, culture and civilization" dedicated to the celebration of the 70th anniversary of Professor of the Kazakh National University named after al-Farabi, Doctor of philosophy Zhakypbek Altayev.
Al Farabi Kazakh National University and the Ataturk “Culture, language and history” scientific research centre is organising an international symposium on “Political, economic and cultural developments in the Turkic world. From the beginning of the 20th century to the present day” in Almaty, Kazakhstan.
On 11-12 April 2018 Al-Farabi Kazakh National University, UNAI’s Global Hub on Sustainability, in partnership with School of Geography and Environment of the University of Oxford (Great Britain) and the National Committee of the UNESCO Programme “Man and the Biosphere” are going to conduct International Scientific Conference "Arid Lands: Environmental and Social Sustainability", dedicated to the current problems of sustainable development of arid lands in the central part of Eurasia.
