April 16, 2014 under the directions of Doctor of Economics, Professor of "Economics" Dulambaeva R.T. and Doctor of Economics Aubakirova ZH.Y. with the participation of 2nd course Master Degree students of "Economics" was held and organized around work table discussion on topic “Eurasian Economic Union: problems and prospects of development”.

The main objectives of the discussion were:

1. Reveal the essence of the concept, causes and consequences of the creation of the Economic Union;
2. Determine the background of the Eurasian Economic Union, the position of Customs Union;
3. Identify similarities and differences of the Eurasian Economic Union with The European Union;
4. Reveal expected opportunities and risks of creation of the Eurasian Union;

Discussion participants were students and master degree students of High School of Economics and Business and the other faculties of the al-Farabi Kazakh National University.

The result of the discussion gives following conclusions: Creation of the Eurasian Economic Union entails both risks associated with socio-economic developments and opportunities. In turn, the effective use of data capabilities, promote the development of innovative processes in the country, which increases economic profit. As practice shows, a huge market TC enables barter between the participating countries and the economic development of these countries. Carrying out the integration processes in the interests of every citizen.
