Regulations of sabbatical leave for students

1) Sabbatical leave is a period when students can temporarily stop their studies for the health reasons (including maternity) or for being drafted into the armed forces of the Kazakhstan.

2) Standard period of time for sabbatical leave is 6 to 12 months (in case of natural disasters like earthquakes and floods sabbatical leave can be expanded to 2 years)

3) An applicant for sabbatical leave must provide official documents like medical certification or documents certifying applicant’s draft for the armed forces.

4) A scholarship can be remained for those applicants, who have grants, but the monthly stipend financing for living needs will be stopped. For those who study on the paid basis tuition fees will be suspended.
