Today, November 26, 2014 a meeting was held 1st year students specialty "Social pedagogy and self-cognition" of the Department of general and ethnic pedagogy Faculty of philosophy and political science Al-Farabi Kazakh National University with the imam of the mosque «Umar ibn al-Khattab» Medeu district of Almaty K. Akhmetov and Naib Imam, part-time specialist on Youth Akimat of Medeu district of Almaty Zhuzey M. Purpose of the event was to explain the concepts of education and religion, their the role and importance for students.

Imams spoke about the role and importance of religious education, including taking into account the features of the Kazakh education. Was separately disclosed the use of the ideas of Islam religious extremist movements in the modern world. Students actively participate in discussions, and eventually were satisfied with the informative answer. An agreement was reached with the imams on further cooperation in matters of religious education.
