Traditional Alpiniad "Nursultan-2013" dedicated to the 15th anniversary of Astana took part in the mountains of the Ile-Alatau.

The main purpose of the event - propaganda and popularization of mountain sports and recreation, healthy lifestyle, revival of mass tourism and climbing. Among the climbers - students, professors and staff of the al-Farabi Kazakh National University. Members of the Al-Farabi Kazakh National University alpinism club participated in preparing the route to the peak and provision of security. The Department of Recreational Geography and tourism has been involved in this international event since 2001. And this time, the department flag was flying on the breeze over the majestic peak. Participants of the climbing were awarded with certificates.
