During the Academic Council session of KazNU, the President of the International Observatory on Academic Ranking and Excellence IREG Mr.Jan Sadlak was solemnly awarded the title of the « Honorary Doctor » of Al-Farabi Kazakh National University.

"Initially, I arrived here as a Visiting Professor to the Faculty of International Relations. And now, I am obtaining the title of the Honorary Doctor of al-Farabi KazNU alongside with Nobel Prize laureates. This is a great honor for me», - said professor, expressing his profound gratitude to our university.

Moreover, Mr.Sadlak presented a brief report on a theme «General characteristics of internationally recognized University» and has given deeper explanations about the qualities that should be possessed by University. He noted the necessity in well-equipped-campus, corresponding to the modern requirements, the availability of foreign contingent (foreign professorate, arrival of foreign students and exchange of experiences), generation of new of ideas and the support of administration in its financing issues, having the world class teaching staff, various sources of financing.
