As noted by the director of the library Al-Farabi Kalima Tuenbaeva, rare editions and literature about the Great Patriotic War have been selected for the exhibition. “This day is forever associated with the history of the family of each person. We had to pay too high a price for the Victory, so we must take good care of the historical monuments and documents of that time. Books about the Great Patriotic War and its heroes act as keepers of the memory of generations, "K. Tuenbaeva said.

The exhibition dedicated to the Defender of the Fatherland Day and Victory Day consists of 12 sections. For example, in the section "Page of the newspapers of the war years" there is a rich collection of documents and articles published in 1941-1945 on the pages of the newspapers "Socialist Kazakhstan", "Pravda", which are kept in the library of Al-Farabi.
