A traditional patriotic event "Er esimi - el esinde" dedicated to May 7 - Defender of the Fatherland Day and May 9 - Victory Day took place in the museum of the Al-Farabi Kazakh National University. It was attended by teachers and cadets of the military department of the university.

The lesson of courage was opened by the chief specialist of the museum, Ardak Zhumekekyzy, focusing on the importance of preserving historical memory, educating the younger generation in the spirit of respect and care for war and labor veterans. Emphasizing that the current cadets of the military department are the defenders of the country of tomorrow, the chief specialist spoke about the heroism of university teachers and students who went to the front during the Great Patriotic War and fought heroically to defend their homeland. “Today we need to educate and awaken a sense of patriotism in the younger generation with the help of deep folk historical legends and through the prism of cultural heritage to instill the language, culture and traditions of the people. This is the need of the time and society, ”said Ardak Zhumekekyzy in her speech.

The video "University - during the Great Patriotic War" was presented to the attention of the participants. The presentation, prepared by the museum's specialists, contained a lot of useful information about the representatives of the university who went to the front. The participants noted the significant contribution of the university staff to the Great Victory. Telling about selfless heroism, exploits committed in the name of the Motherland and victory, they thereby paid tribute to those who gave their lives for the Motherland.

During the meeting there was a presentation of the book by Colonel, military historian Mukhtar Nazarbayev "The Strategy of the Winners", which describes the tragic events of the invasion of the Soviet Union by Hitler's Germany, the exploits of soldiers during the Great Patriotic War.

The staff of the military department who took part in the event thanked the organizers and noted that such meetings instill national and moral values ​​in the minds of the younger generation, contribute to the spiritual and moral development of the individual.
