At the V Summer Games of the Republic of Kazakhstan in table tennis in Astana, a third-year student of the Higher School of Economics and Business of Al-Farabi KazNU, Gaukhar Almagambetova, has won two medals: Silver in team competitions and Bronze in pairs competitions. This is an excellent result before the competitions of the Universiade of the HEIs of the RK, which will be held this spring. The coach of the athlete is Kuanysh Dzharkeshev, a Senior Teacher of the Center for Healthy Life Style of KazNU.

V Summer Games of Kazakhstan is one of the most significant sporting events of this year and it is being held every four years. This year, the competition began from January 29 and it will last until August 10 in all major cities of the country. The strongest athletes from all regions will compete in 40 kinds of sports. In the opinion of KazNU’s coach Kuanysh Dzharkeshev, the large-scale competitions will help identify the best athletes by region and the strongest will be selected to participate in the XXXII Summer Olympic Games 2020 in Tokyo (Japan).
