The Chairman of the Global Council for Tolerance and Peace visited the Faculty of Oriental Studies

Chairman of the Global Council for Tolerance and Peace of the United Arab Emirates, Mr. Ahmed bin Mohammed Al-Jarwan, visited the Faculty of Oriental Studies of al-Farabi KazNU at the end of May this year as а part of his official trip to Almaty. Dean of the Faculty of Oriental Studies Yktiyar Paltore met the honor guest and acquainted with the Faculty. The dean said that relations with the Arab countries are currently at an insufficiently high level.

Mr. Ahmed bin Mohammed Al Jarwan met with the lecturers of the Middle East and South Asia Department, as well as students of the Arab Studies Department, introduced the main principles of the Global Council for Tolerance and Peace, which he heads, and forthcoming work plans. Mr. Ahmed bin Mohammed Al-Jarwan stated that the principles of tolerance and peace of the Republic of Kazakhstan are an example for the peoples of the world, expressing confidence that the bilateral relations between the United Arab Emirates and the Republic of Kazakhstan will continue to develop in the future. The meeting was mainly held in Arabic, the questions were also asked in Arabic. Some of the students were warmly received by Ahmed bin Mohammed al-Jarwan, who expressed his willingness to support the students of the Arab Studies Department in improving the level of the Arabic language.

This meeting gave a new impetus, a good mood to all the lecturers and students who attended the event.
