At the Faculty of Oriental Studies of al-Farabi KazNU, a meeting was held with the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Azerbaijan Rashad Mammadov Einaddinoglu.

Dean of the faculty PhD Ykhtiyar Moldatoreuli expressed his respect and gratitude to the Ambassador of Azerbaijan Rashad Mammadov and noted that the culture and roots of the Turkic peoples are a single chain linking our peoples.

The Ambassador of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Rashad Mammadov, expressed his gratitude to the Department of TURKSOY for the organized meeting and also shared plans that will be implemented with the celebration of the 100-year independence of the Republic of Azerbaijan. Also, on the basis of the Faculty of Oriental Studies and the Department of TURKSOY, the opening of the Azerbaijan Research and Education Center is planned. Within the framework of this center, special attention will be paid to the study of history, culture, Turkic languages and literature. Various events, conferences, roundtables and seminars related to Turkic studies will be held at the TURKSOY Department. In 2018-2019 years in the plans of the department there is an invitation of an expert of the Azerbaijani language for teaching students. This year marks the 100th anniversary of the birth of the poet Huseyn Javid. The anniversary of the poet is organized by the International Organization TURKSOY, and will be celebrated at the Faculty of Oriental Studies of KazNU.

A proposal was received for an agreement on the improvement of professional skills and academic mobility of students and teachers in conjunction with the Baku State University and al-Farabi KazNU. Also at the meeting, the ambassador shared experience of consular activity, and kindly answered all questions.
