Recently, a round table entitled «Place of Yasawi in the Spirit of Iran – Turan» under the article of President N. Nazarbayev «Course towards the future: modernization of Kazakhstan’s identity» was held at the Faculty of Oriental Studies at al-Farabi KazNU.

The above mentioned event was attended by: Chief Consul of the Islamic Republic of Iran Mr. Hamid Reza, Professor Said Dzhalali, Director of the Heritage of the Turkish Peoples Akhmed Dagduran, Dean of the Oriental Studies Faculty Ph.D.  Ykhtiar Paltore, Head of the TURKSOY department Kydyr Torali, Chairman of the Ozan Council of Azerbaijan Garib Mamedalioglu, Director of the Turk Duniyasy Foundation Karlin Nurdunuly, professor at the Nur Mubarak University, Ph.D. Mukhitdin Isauli, director of the al-Farabi Center Zhakypbek Altayev and many other scientists, professors, teachers and students.

According to the Iran-Turan project, scientists’ task is to investigate the personalities of Turkic figures, their works and translate them into Persian and Kazakh languages. The most important is the translation of "Diyuani Hikmet" into Persian.

Consul General of the Islamic Republic of Iran in Almaty Hamid Reza made a presentation on "The truth in the Sufi worldview." Professor Said Dzalali made a presentation on "The influence of the heritage of Yasawi on the Persian poets". Director of the Cultural Foundation of the Turkic Peoples Ahmed Dagduran made a presentation on the topic: "The role of Yasawi in the history of the Turkic peoples", professor Tursun Gabitov spoke on the topic: "Actual problems in the study of Yasaui."

Speakers of the conference discussed the historical facts and personalities that influenced the development of the humanistic values ​​of Ancient Iran and Turan, the relationship between Iran and Dasht-i Kipchak in the Middle Ages, for this reason the work of Ahmet Yasawi and his model of "Kamil Insan" - the perfect person is an actual study.

This event was intended to familiarize participants and listeners with the spiritual culture of their ancestors, to cultivate respect for the traditions and customs of their own and other peoples, tolerance to other religions and to reveal the significance of the national and spiritual values of society.
