Оn May, 17th 2010г. 92 pupils of Almaty schools have received a gold breastplate of "Urker". So much schoolboys have been recognised the best on the republican and international Olympic Games. That from them 22 pupils are winners and prize-winners of the Olympic Games "Al-Farabi" is remarkable. Al-Farabi Kazakh National University, National Engineering Academy of RK, Institute of Computational Technologies of SB RAS, Lavrentyev Institute of Hydrodynamics of SB RAS, Kazakh-British Technical University within the period of 27-30 September 2010 in the city of Almaty on the base of the al-Farabi Kazakh National University will hold the VII Kazakhstan-Russian International Scientific-Practical Conference "Mathematical Modeling scientific-technological and ecological problems in oil and gas production industry".

30 April 2010 British Council, the international project INSPIRE held an educational seminar for young scientists in Kazakhstan. 25 young scientists from 11 cities of Kazakhstan invited at the seminar. The work also involved experts project British Council, members of the international project INSPIRE, Foundation of the First President of the Republic of Kazakhstan, National Center for Scientific and Technical Information.

Round Table on the subject “To the History of Berlin Physics” was held on the 5^th of May 2010 at the Physics Department of Kazakh National University named after al-Farabi in the frame of Germany’s year in Kazakhstan. Professor Peter Anders, ScD, made a speech to teachers and students.

On April, 23rd, 2010 at the Students’ Palace, the book exhibition has been organized by the Scientific library, which was devoted to the international scientific congress «the Role of institute of Presidency in formation and development of independent Kazakhstan».
