From November 14 to 21, the Patrice Lumumba Peoples' Friendship University of Russia (RUDN University) was a knowledge week, organized by the University of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (USCO) under the theme “Innovative tools for implementing projects in the field of sustainable development”. Kanshora Assel Sabitovna, a second-year master's student at the Al-Farabi Kazakh National University majoring in Biotechnology at the Faculty of Biology and Biotechnology, was proposed and invited to participate in the USCO autumn school.

The autumn school of the USCO University was attended by: students from states that are members of the organization (Russia, China, Kazakhstan, India, Kyrgyzstan, Uzbekistan, Pakistan, Tajikistan), students from USCO observer countries (Belarus, Iran) and students from BRICS countries (Brazil, South Africa).

According to the program, on November 15, the annual meeting of the USCO University with Russian participation was held at the RUDN University site. Representatives of government authorities and participating universities summed up the work for the year - they spoke about the events held jointly with foreign partner universities, signed agreements, identified problems and ways to solve them. The universities also proposed new formats of cooperation to expand interaction through the USCO University. A speech was made by Adilet Amanzholuly, a master's student at RUDN University in the double degree program, a student at the Faculty of Economics of KazNU. In addition, KazNU graduate Zhuldyz Abaevna spoke.

Vice-Rector for International Activities of RUDN University Larisa Efremova made a speech at the meeting with the support of the Ministry of Education and Science of Russia and Rus Cooperation, and said: “Despite the difficult political realities and constant changes that are taking place in the USCO member universities themselves, it is important to continue to develop cooperation in the field of education. It is important to increase efforts in interaction at the level of the universities themselves, given the increasing number of potential new member-participants at the expense of universities in India, Iran, Pakistan and Uzbekistan”.

During the week of knowledge, students were given lectures and given practical group assignments on the topic “Sphere of Sustainable Development”. In addition, during extracurricular activities, excursions around the university and historical places of Moscow were held.

On November 21, the closing ceremony of the education week took place, where Kanshora Asel Sabitovna was certified in the USCO University Autumn School program “Innovative tools for implementing projects in the field of sustainable development” in the amount of 36 academic hours of training.
